Let us say it right at the start: sometimes parking is the better deal. It depends on how long you will be away, how many of you are travelling and whether you book your parking in advance. Here is a comparison with real figures, so you can decide for yourself.

What parking costs

Airport prices depend on whether you turn up without a booking or reserve a space online — the difference is big, often as much as half the price.

Without a booking, multi-storey car park by the terminal: 1 day 1 400 CZK, 3 days 2 200 CZK, 7 days 3 400 CZK.

With an online booking, a car park further away: from 790 CZK for 8 days.

Prices from the official operator aeroparking.cz, checked on 8 September 2026. Online rates change with occupancy; you only see the current price when you book.

What a transfer costs

Prague city centre to the airport: 800 CZK in an E-Class (1–3 people), 921 CZK in a V-Class (up to 7 people). Prices include VAT; there and back means two rides.

Which option pays off when

Park— if you are travelling alone or as a couple, are away for a week or more and book online. No transfer can beat eight days for 790 CZK.

What people forget about parking

On top of the parking ticket comes the drive there and back — fuel, wear and tear, and the time spent finding a space and getting to the terminal. With car parks further away, allow for a shuttle bus and an extra ten minutes each way, which feels very different with suitcases and children than when travelling light.

And one thing you only notice when you come back: if your flight is delayed, you pay for another day of parking. Not with a transfer — we track the flight number and the pick-up time moves by itself; 30 minutes after landing are included in the price, 60 minutes for flights from outside the Schengen area.

What about public transport?

The airport is served by trolleybus 59 from Nádraží Veleslavín, where you change from the metro, and by the Airport Express from the main railway station (Hlavní nádraží). For one person travelling light it is the cheapest option, and there is no point pretending otherwise.

Since January 2026 the Airport Express has cost 200 CZK per adult (children aged 6–15: 100 CZK). Large luggage costs extra on public transport.

For two people that is 400 CZK, for four 800 CZK — exactly what our whole car costs, door to door, with no changes and no dragging suitcases along the platform.

Fares checked on 8 September 2026.

With suitcases, with children or at half past four in the morning, public transport is a different game from travelling light at midday — and that is exactly where a transfer starts to make sense.

Who will drive you

Solid Transfers is the licensed passenger transport business of Petr Gočov, company ID (IČO) 01866249, running since 2016. But he has been behind the wheel for longer: he has held a driving licence since he was eighteen, has been driving for more than twenty years and has covered around 1.5 million kilometres. On top of that, he has his own car workshop, so the cars are well maintained and we never fail to turn up in the morning because of a breakdown.

We are not a dispatch service that passes your ride on to a driver you do not know — we drive our own Mercedes-Benz cars. There is more on our About us page.
