Private transfer Prague to České Budějovice
Solid Transfers — solid-transfers.com

We drive both ways: Prague → České Budějovice and back. An hour and a half on the D3 and you are in South Bohemia — picked up at home and dropped right at your destination.
The route in numbers
Distance — approximately 150 km by road
Driving time — approximately 1 hour 30 minutes of driving without stops
Vehicles — Mercedes-Benz E-Class estate (1–3 passengers) or V-Class (up to 7 passengers)
Why by car
Trains and buses run to Budějovice, but with suitcases and children the transfer from the station to your accommodation is the most unpleasant part of the whole trip. By car you go door to door and can stop wherever you need on the way.
The route
Along the D3 motorway via Tábor. The route is now practically all motorway, which has cut the journey by about half an hour.
And the same in reverse
We drive České Budějovice → Prague just as often as the other way round. Both legs can be booked together, and in between the driver either waits or drives back — whichever works out cheaper.
What it costs
The price follows our price list, is calculated from the actual road distance and is agreed in advance as a fixed sum — there is no meter. It includes fuel, motorway tolls in the Czech Republic and standard luggage.
Mercedes-Benz E-Class estate — base fare 800 CZK incl. VAT including the first 20 km, 36 CZK per km up to 150 km and 30 CZK per km beyond
Mercedes-Benz V-Class — base fare 921 CZK incl. VAT including the first 20 km, 46 CZK per km up to 150 km and 38 CZK per km beyond
From our price list this route works out at 5 480 CZK incl. VAT in the E-Class estate, 6 901 CZK incl. VAT in the V-Class — one way. The empty return leg is not charged.
The exact amount for your particular pick-up address is worked out by the calculator on the home page, which also allows for current traffic. The full price list is on the Price list page.
Day trip: back the same day
If you return on the same day, the return leg is charged at 50 % of the outbound fare — you have the driver for the whole day and waiting is not counted by the hour, it is included. If you return on another day, both legs are charged in full, because the driver drives back empty in the meantime and comes out for you again. The calculator works out both options — just choose when you are coming back.
Worth seeing in České Budějovice
Přemysl Otakar II Square measures 133 metres on each side and is one of the largest square-shaped town squares in Europe. The Samson Fountain stands in the middle, and a 'wandering stone' is set into the paving — legend has it that anyone who steps on it after ten in the evening will not find their way home before morning. The Black Tower is 72 metres tall, and from its gallery you can see as far as the Šumava mountains. The Budvar brewery has been brewing since 1895, and its trademark dispute with the American Budweiser has run for more than a century across dozens of countries. From here it is a quarter of an hour to Hluboká Castle, modelled on Windsor, and twenty minutes to Holašovice, a UNESCO-listed village of rural Baroque. We often combine Hluboká and Český Krumlov in one day — just tell us in advance; it counts as an intermediate stop.
