Private transfer Prague Airport to city centre
Solid Transfers — solid-transfers.com

We drive both ways: Prague Airport → city centre and city centre → Prague Airport. From the terminal straight to your hotel or home — no changes, no dragging suitcases, no hunting for a taxi in the car park.
The route in numbers
Distance — approximately 18 km by road
Driving time — 25 to 35 minutes of driving, without stops
Cars — Mercedes-Benz E-Class estate (1–3 passengers) or V-Class (up to 7 passengers)
Why by car
The bus-plus-metro combination costs a few crowns, but with two suitcases after a night flight it is an hour nobody enjoys. Your driver waits at the terminal, loads the luggage and drives straight to your address.
It fits within the base fare
It is roughly 18 km from Václav Havel Airport to the centre, a few kilometres more to Vinohrady or Žižkov. The base fare covers the first 20 km, so most Prague addresses fall inside it — from 800 CZK incl. VAT in the E-Class and from 921 CZK in the V-Class. Longer trips right across the city may go a few kilometres over; the calculator shows the exact amount before you book.
And the same in reverse
We drive the other way just as often — from the centre or your home to Václav Havel Airport. We time the departure from your flight and allow for the morning peak.
What it costs
The price follows our price list, is calculated from the actual road distance and is agreed in advance as a fixed sum — there is no meter. It includes fuel, motorway tolls in the Czech Republic and standard luggage.
Mercedes-Benz E-Class estate — base fare 800 CZK incl. VAT including the first 20 km, 36 CZK per km up to 150 km and 30 CZK per km beyond
Mercedes-Benz V-Class — base fare 921 CZK incl. VAT including the first 20 km, 46 CZK per km up to 150 km and 38 CZK per km beyond
The exact amount for your particular pick-up address is worked out by the calculator on the home page, which also allows for current traffic. The full price list is on the Price list page.
Day trip: back the same day
If you return on the same day, the return leg is charged at 50 % of the outbound fare — you have the driver for the whole day and waiting is not counted by the hour, it is included. If you return on another day, both legs are charged in full, because the driver drives back empty in the meantime and comes out for you again. The calculator works out both options — just choose when you are coming back.
Worth seeing in Prague
Prague Castle is, by the Guinness book, the largest coherent castle complex in the world; inside stands St Vitus Cathedral, built over almost six hundred years. Charles Bridge was founded by Charles IV in 1357, and legend has the first stone laid at a moment that reads the same forwards and backwards: 1357, 9 July, 5:31. The Astronomical Clock on the Old Town Hall has run since 1410 and is the oldest still working.
Of the museums, the chief one is the National Museum at the top of Wenceslas Square, reopened after a seven-year restoration. The National Gallery is spread over several buildings — the Trade Fair Palace holds modern art, including the only Picasso and the only Van Gogh in the country. Museum Kampa sits right on the Vltava below Charles Bridge, and the National Technical Museum in Letná has a hall full of aircraft, locomotives and cars.
The Jewish Town is the best preserved in Europe — the Old-New Synagogue from the 13th century is the oldest still in use, and the old cemetery holds more than a hundred thousand people in twelve layers. Above the city rises Petřín tower, a scaled-down Eiffel from 1891, and south of the centre stands Vyšehrad, whose cemetery holds Dvořák, Smetana and Čapek.
Most of the centre is walkable — ten minutes from Wenceslas Square to the Old Town Square, half an hour uphill to the Castle. Tickets for the clock interior and the towers are bought in advance and sell out in season. And Czechs drink more beer per head than anyone in the world, so pubs are not in short supply.
